Pitcher Juan Salas, with the Biscuits on a rehab stop after being suspended for a performance-enhancing substance, is moving up to Durham.
The move signals Salas won't rejoin the Devil Rays when he's eligible to return to the majors Tuesday. Salas drew a 50-game suspension in May after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance.
Salas pitched in only two games for the Biscuits and allowed four runs on four hits and two walks in 1 1/3 innings.
Did he ever talk on the record about his Suspension?
ReplyDeleteNo, he declined any comment about the suspension and said he's moving ahead and not looking back.
ReplyDeleteI tried to explain how that would be read as an admission and that he'll be asked repeatedly when he gets to the big leagues.
He wasn't a boor about it. He's never been unfriendly toward me.
