Definitely an informal affair when intrasquad games are involved. For example, Jeremy Hellickson is actually staring for the Double-A team. Major-leaguer Dioner Navarro is catching Hellickson.
And Emeel Salem led off for Triple-A ... and homered.
12:48: Hellickson isn't his strongest, but this is against people who know him well. Ryan Shealy just hit an opposite-field RBI single and the runner had an outstandingly ridiculous jump from second anyway. They rolled over the inning without the usual three outs.
1:02: Helli gave up another HR, a two-run shot to Drew Anderson.

ReplyDeleteNo clue. There are still 36 infielders in minor-league camp, so there are a lot of decisions to be made.
