Biscuits startingpitcher Nick Barnese has gone on the disabled list and reliever Paul Phillips has been demoted from Triple-A Durham.
Barnese's DL move is retroactive to Friday, so he could still miss just one start due to his back strain. Phillips was with Durham for just less than three weeks and had a 12.11 ERA in five appearances.
