Biscuits left-hander Mike Prochaska is headed to Class AAA Durham.
Prochaska was scheduled to start Montgomery's game Saturday at Mobile, but instead will start for the Bulls against the Ottawa Lynx.
I've yet to learn what the corresponding move in Durham is, but Saturday is right-hander Jamie Shields' turn in the rotation. Shields threw nine shutout innings, with no walks and 10 strikeouts, in his last start.
More later.

Return of injured Cantu and Baldelli may spark team
Maddon did reveal that some of the conversation dealt with hypothetical situations based on the return of Rocco Baldelli and Jorge Cantu.
"We were talking about Jorge," Maddon said. "We're going to try and get him out for a week in [Double-A] Montgomery. And, Rocco, he's still doing fine. Everything seems to be status quo. Just things like that, and the potentiality of what may happen after that. Just different things like that. I hadn't had the chance to talk to Andrew until this moment. Missed him yesterday, got him today. ... It's all about good stuff."
Baldelli has not played in a Major League game since 2004 and currently is taking part in a 20-day assignment at Triple-A Durham. Cantu played second base in an extended Spring Training game on Friday and went 0-for-4. Maddon said it's likely Cantu will begin his stint at Montgomery on Sunday or Monday.

Bubba,
I heard tonight that Cantu was a possibility, but have yet to run that down.
All signs are that Shields is headed to the big leagues, though the Rays wouldn't confirm or deny it.
