Rocco Baldelli received good news after seeking a second opinion of his illness.
Baldelli went to a clinic in Cleveland and has been diagnosed with channelopathy, a type of protein irregularity, instead of a mitochondrial disorder, according to reports in Rhode Island. Channelopathy isn't as threatening as a mitochondrial disorder.
Baldelli said his condition was 'updated,' not misdiagnosed.
Baldelli spent time with the Biscuits this summer on a rehab tour that led to his return to the major leagues.
