Cromer expects to miss first month

Pitcher Jason Cromer will miss the start of the season with a minor elbow injury. He said he hurt it playing in Venezuela this winter. He's supposed to throw for the first time Tuesday and expects to miss the first month of the season. He was in high spirits.

Looked for and didn't see Desmond Jennings today. He's out with a wrist injury and has been limited to off-field work.

Pitcher Alex Cobb, expected to start the season with the Biscuits, won't because of an oblique injury. Not sure how long he'll be out. He was 8-5 with a 3.03 ERA last year for high-Class A Charlotte.

Bad news with the Alex Cobb injury, I was looking forward to seeing how he'd do at AA. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer.
