Biscuits reach franchise low with quarterly rent

The Biscuits had the weakest financial three months in team history, according to the quarterly rent paid to the city.

The Biscuits paid $7,186 in rent for the months covering October, November and December. The payment was due at the beginning of this month.

Their previous low was a $9,470 for the same months in 2010.

The Biscuits have paid more than $5 million in rent since the city-owned $26 million Riverwalk Stadium opened in 2004. (For those curious, the exact total is $5,044,171.52.)
