Oh baby, baby

Gina Peguero, the wife of Biscuits pitcher Tony Peguero, had the couple's second child today.
Brandon was born about 2 p.m., the coaches and players said. Tony isn't with the team tonight for obvious reasons.

"The guy came into the world a lucky guy: He doesn't look like his dad," Biscuits hitting coach Mako Oliveras cracked. "Thank God he doesn't look like Tony Peguero and looks like his mom."

Congratulations to Tony and Gina! It's nice that Mako Oliveras can make jokes, but can he coach? It's time we got a coach who can help our batters. 9th in the league in batting average, 9th in runs scored, and 1st in striking out isn't exactly stellar. I've been to 12 Biscuit games this year, and they've only scored more than 3 runs twice. Time to send Oliveras packing to Low-A.

Great. The very next game after I post my diatribe about the Biscuits not being able to hit, they go out and score 15 runs on 20 hits. Maybe I should post every day!!

I never saw a post about the Biscuits ~allowing~ a bunch of hits and runs. Now, check out Friday's game.
