New pitcher joins Biscuits

Right-handed reliever Bryce Stowell has joined the Biscuits.

Stowell was 4-1 with four saves and a 2.58 ERA at Double-A Akron in the Cleveland organization last season.

Stowell was a 22nd-round draft pick of the Indians in 2008 out of Cal-Irvine (freaking Anteaters). He reached Triple-A in 2010 and had a 5.49 ERA in 17 appearances.

With Stowell, the Biscuits reach the Southern League 25-man roster limit, a sign that the injuries to DL'd relievers Sam Runion (shoulder) and Matt Ramsey (unknown) may not be minor.
