Eldridge returns to Rays; Powell, Pedroza also surface

Outfielder Rashaad Eldridge, who was with the Biscuits for the last two seasons, has re-signed with the Tampa Bay Rays.

Eldridge is one of a slew of Biscuits outfield-related signings listed this week by Baseball America.

Pedro Powell, who played with Montgomery last year, is joining the Washington Nationals. Sergio Pedroza, who hit the ninth-inning home run that gave the Biscuits their 2007 Southern League championship, will rejoin the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Pedroza came to the Rays from the Dodgers in a 2006 trade. He played in the independent Golden League last year after the Rays released him in spring training.
