Montoyo honored by Puerto Rico assignment

Former Biscuits manager Charlie Montoyo said he was honored to be picked to coach for his native Puerto Rico in this year's World Baseball Classic. "It will be a real treat to be there with all those great players in my homeland," Montoyo said.

Montoyo should give the Puerto Ricans a decided advantage in one pre-WBC exhibition. They play Tampa Bay on March 4 and Montoyo will "just have to switch dugouts," he said. Maybe the Rays should change their signals that night, eh?
