40-man roster moves

The Devil Rays added three to their 40-man roster today, all three with ties to the Biscuits.

Second baseman Elliot Johnson and right-handed Mitch Talbot played for Montgomery this year, while surly center fielder Elijah Dukes was with the team in 2005.

Jason Standridge, who made three rehab starts with Montgomery in 2004, was claimed off waivers by the New York Mets.

Standridge had been with the Cincinnati Reds. Before being drafted, Standridge had signed to play quarterback for Auburn.
