David Price's dad, Bonnie, organized a trip to Turner Field to see his son. There are 275-300 people here -- all wearing Price's Rays replica jersey -- from his hometown, Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Using only word of mouth, they ended up taking three buses and "a lot of people chose to drive themselves," Bonnie said.
The group definitely was against a rainout, which would have meant a doubleheader likely Wednesday, because they're going home tonight. The scheduled start time is 8:30 Central, more than two hours late.
“We might be late, but we’re going to play,” Bonnie said during the delay. “We want to play. We’ll just be late getting home. We may not get there until early in the morning, but we want to play.”
