Jefferies returns to Riverwalk

Jake Jefferies, who spent the first month of last season with the Biscuits, is back at Riverwalk Stadium. Jefferies joined the Jacksonville Suns today from Triple-A New Orleans. He was traded to the Marlins in the offseason for major league reliever Burke Badenhop. Jefferies was 5-for-19 in six games for Montgomery last season. He finished the year at high-Class A Charlotte, where he hit .235 in 59 games.
