Lobstein, Riefenhauser snare league awards

Montgomery's Kyle Lobstein and Charlotte's C.J. Riefenhauser have been named their league's pitchers of the week.

Lobstein threw eight shutout innings Sunday after giving up just one run in six innings in his previous start Tuesday. He's 3-2 with a 4.57 ERA.

Riefenhauser, who is 6-0 with a Florida State League-leading 0.70 ERA, tossed six shutout innings Friday, allowing three hits with no walks and nine strikeouts. He hasn't allowed an earned run in a month, a span covering 25 2/3 innings.

Chattanooga right fielder Blake Smith was the Southern League's hitter winner. With back-to-back four-RBI games Saturday and Sunday, Smith was 8-for-18 with three runs scored, two home runs and 11 RBIs.
