Series starter

Catch our regular Series Starter feature -- this one on Montgomery infielder Brooks Badeaux -- at A teaser: He doesn't have fond memories of the Auburn Tigers.

The Stars and Biscuits play the lidlifter on their five-game set tonight at Riverwalk Stadium. Montgomery center fielder Fernando Perez is coming off a team-record four-steal effort at Birmingham on Friday and promises he'll run more than his three attempts in the first 14 games.

UPDATE: Pitcher Evan Meek threw again Saturday and has a simulated game scheduled for Wednesday. He could come off the disabled list as early as Friday.
