Rain delay update

2 p.m. -- The Biscuits are hoping for a 2:45 p.m. start. That's the current hope. Rain has stopped at Riverwalk, but weather radar doesn't eliminate the possibility of more.

2:51 -- First pitch. However, the Biscuits will honor tickets to today's game as rainchecks. They can be exchanged for any future game (if tickets are available to that game). That also means free baseball for anybody who's here.

3:04 -- One of the joys of a sparsely attended game that includes a lot of children. Reid Brignac hit a foul ball to the grassy area in right. We cheered as four kids laid chase.

3:06 -- See 3:04 and it was Evan Longoria this time.

3:48 -- We're calling a chop block on one kid for his "technique" in securing a souvenir. Mobile's Cesar Nicolas set off a chase with a fourth-inning foul.

3:54 -- Longoria homered to deep left-center, over the 395 mark and 18-foot wall. The ball bounced out of the stadium, but that hasn't stopped about 10 kids from hustling to the area in search of the ball.

4:33 -- Biscuits finish off a 1-0 win in Game 1. Game 2 scheduled to start at 5:05.
