Prattville native picked by Brewers in 16th round.

Prattville native Andrew Morris passed on the Milwaukee Brewers after being picked in the 44th round of last year's draft. The Brewers are back again, this time taking the right-handed pitcher in the 16th round.

Morris just finished his sophomore season at Gulf Coast Community College in Florida.

As a freshman, he finished 10-2 with a 2.78 ERA, 107 strikeouts and 65 hits allowed in 94 innings. As a Prattville High senior, he was a 10-game winner for the Lions, honorable mention Class 6A All-State and the Advertiser’s Class 5A-6A All-Metro player of the year.
