Vogt, Meek lauded by Pacific Coast League

Former Biscuits swept this week's Pacific Coast League awards: Sacramento catcher Stephen Vogt and Round Rock right-hander Evan Meek.

Vogt was 11-for-18 with three homers and 11 RBIs in four games since the All-Star break. That includes a Friday with five hits, two homers, six RBIs and four runs scored. Vogt has a .325 average, 12 homers, 57 RBIs and 50 runs in 72 games with the River Cats.

Meek threw eight shutout innings Sunday to win his third straight start for the Express. He gave up four hits. Meek is 5-4 with a 3.65 ERA at Round Rock. Since moving into the rotation a month ago, he's 5-1 with a 3.06 ERA in eight starts.
