Lobstein, Dietrich headed to Arizona, too

Two former Biscuits will also end their year in the Arizona Fall League.

Kyle Lobstein, a left-handed pitcher now in the Detroit organization, will play for the Mesa Solar Sox. Derek Dietrich, a second baseman with the Miami Marlins, will suit up for the Glendale Desert Dogs.

Dietrich has 10 home runs this year at Double-A Jacksonville, including two during the current series at Riverwalk. He hit nine more homers in the major leagues. Dietrich, 24, has a .258 average and 34 RBIs for the Suns after hitting .214 in 57 games at Miami.

Lobstein is 5-3 with a 3.80 ERA in 12 starts at Triple-A Toledo after going 7-4 with a 3.12 ERA in 15 starts to begin the season for Double-A Erie.

The 24-year-old has thrown a career-most 161 2/3 innings this year. His previous high was 148 in 2010 at low-Class A Bowling Green, though he threw 144 last year for the Biscuits.
