Below are the travel squads that were posted at the Rays' minor-league complex this morning. Obviously, they can change. Some of those guys won't be on the active roster for the season openers. Officially, those guys are on the short-season Hudson Valley roster, but the players call it the "phantom DL."
Each team's bus leaves in a few hours after a pair of intrasquad games finish and everybody packs up. Each bus shouldn't be too crowded. The Rays decided to allow the players to drive their own cars, if they so chose and signed a waiver. That gets the players off the hook for shipping their cars, which is an expensive proposition. Last year, the fine for not riding the bus was less than the shipping cost for a car. A lot of them took the fine.

Thank you for all the the information from the minor-league camp!
Thanks for all the GREAT info on the TB system and where the players are. There are a few ex-Biscuits I don't see anywhere: Chris Flinn, Jose Rodriguez, Brian Allen, and Josh Kranawetter, for instance. Do you know where they are? Since Allen and Kranawetter were former free agents, and older, I guess they may have been released. But Chris Flinn???
Forget the question about Chris Flinn. You told me he was released on March 22nd.
I know they didn't re-sign Brian Allen. Kranawetter is listed in Tampa Bay's media guide this year, but wesn't there when I arrived. Not sure about Rodriguez. He's somewhere out there, I bet.
Thanks. I found out that Rodriquez signed a mlc w/Houston, and he shows up on their AAA team roster, as of now.
and, Baseball America reports Kranawetter was placed on the voluntary retired list (a/o 30 March).
