Another passport promotion

The Biscuits had one a month ago, now the Mississippi Braves are going through one.

Mississippi pitcher Jose Ascanio has been promoted to the major leagues after Atlanta's Wil Ledezma had trouble returning from an All-Star break trip home to Venezuela. Apparently, Ledezma left his visa and passport in his pants when they were washed. The visa and passport were unusable for Ledezma to return. So, Atlanta called on Ascanio.

Of course, early last month, Biscuits pitcher Jeremy Flanagan was going up to Class AAA Durham, except that the Bulls were headed to Ottawa for a series and Flanagan didn't have the necessary paperwork. Richard De Los Santos went instead.
