Jeff Niemann finally broke through this offseason at his 50-acre Texas ranch. He bagged his first buck, first turkey and "a few hogs, too," he said. "It was a good year."
Niemann, who harvested a nine-pointer, said he hadn't heavily hunted his ranch until this year. He's an avid outdoorsman.
"I was just enjoying being out there," Niemann said. "That may have been my first buck, but I've shot some does. That was the first boy."
