Austin Wood, Tampa Bay's fourth-round draft pick last month from St. Petersburg Junior College, has been named to the Cape Cod League's All-Star Game. He's 3-0 with an 0.58 ERA and 24 strikeouts for Cotuit.
Four other players have ties to the state of Alabama.
Pitcher Tyler Ray of Troy University will be the starting pitcher for the West team. Catcher Tony Caldwell and infielder Casey McElroy represent Auburn as West reserves. Alabama pitcher Adam Morgan will be in the East's bullpen. Huntsville native Jed Bradley, who plays at Georgia Tech, is a West reliever.
The game is Wednesday at Boston's Fenway Park.
