Bulls drop into 2-0 hole with 4-0 defeat

Zach McAllister threw seven innings and the Columbus Clippers hit three home runs to move within one win of an International League championship, beating the Durham Bulls 4-0 tonight.

The Bulls, who managed seven hits, host Game 3 on Thursday. Games 4 and 5, if necessary, will also be in Durham.

Cord Phelps hit a solo home run in the first inning. Jared Goedert and Jerad Head went back-to-back off starter Aneury Rodriguez to make it 3-0 in the fourth.
