Jose Pirela scored twice, Myron Leslie had two RBIs and the Tampa Yankees took advantage of 11 walks in a 5-2 win over Charlotte tonight.
It was the opening game of the best-of-5 Florida State League championship series. Game 2 is Saturday.
Jake Jefferies and Matt Hall homered for the Stone Crabs, who did not draw a walk. Pirela and Leslie each walked three times.
