Rehabbing major leaguer Jake Peavy gave up two unearned runs in 3 2/3 innings and the Birmingham Barons clubbed three home runs in Friday’s 7-2 win over the Montgomery Biscuits.
Kenny Williams hit a three-run homer in the eighth and finished with four RBIs. Josh Phegley and Seth Loman each had solo homers.
Biscuits shortstop Tim Beckham had two hits off Peavy and stoked Montgomery’s scoring rally. With two outs in the third inning, Cole Figueroa singled and Beckham doubled. Both scored when third baseman Christian Colonel committed a throwing error.
