Mississippi bullpen also running on fumes

The Mississippi Braves, after a 13-inning home loss to the Biscuits on Saturday, pulled out a 16-inning win at the Jackson Generals on Sunday.

They also turned to a position player on the mound. Infielder Barrett Kleinknecht was the winning pitcher with two shutout innings. He allowed one hit and struck out two. The last two nights, Mississippi has used every reliever except Mark Lamm with Chris Jones throwing twice.
