Paduch to Bulls; Fleming back to Biscuits

The Biscuits and Durham Bulls have swapped pitchers with Jim Paduch moving up and Marquis Fleming returning to Montgomery.

Fleming had a 9.00 ERA in 13 innings this season with hitters compiling a .315 average and 10 walks off him. He was a Southern League All-Star in 2011 and had a long stay in major league spring training this year.

Paduch had a 4.05 ERA in 13 1/3 innings, plus had two of Montgomery's three saves. He also made a spot start earlier this year for Durham.

12:04 update: Paduch will go into Durham's rotation with Alex Torres demoted to the bullpen, Adam Sobsey of the Independent Weekly reports. Torres is 1-3 with a 10.38 ERA in five starts with 19 hits allowed and 21 walks in 17 1/3 innings.

Paduch is scheduled to start Wednesday.
