Mobile has a new player and has apparently switched up its pitching plan for today's doubleheader with the Biscuits.
Center fielder Brent Clevlen makes his debut for the BayBears in the opener. Clevlen was with the Phillies before being released late in spring training. Last year, he began the season with independent Wichita before playing in the Cincinnati and Philadelphia organizations. Clevlen ended the year at Double-A Reading where he hit .336 in 32 games.
Right-hander Chase Anderson is listed as Mobile's starting pitcher in the opener and Derek Eitel in the nightcap. The BayBears said Tuesday night that Patrick Corbin would take the hill for today's opener with Anderson in the finale.
