Major-leaguer
Jamie Shields gave up one hit and an unearned run over seven innings in today's Triple-A game. The Rays beat the Yankees 4-3. He and
Gabriel Martinez combined for a double-error to bring home a run. With Shields covering first, Martinez made a high throw that glanced off Shields' glove. Shields recovered the ball and threw wildly home to try to stop a runner from scoring.
Starting pitcher
Mike Wlodarczyk threw three no-hit innings and outfielder
Quinn Stewart hit a long home run in the Double-A game, which the Yankees won 6-5.
