The Rays have claimed
Nathan Haynes, a left-handed hitting outfielder, from the Los Angeles Angels and he will join the team for Monday's season opener in Baltimore. To make room on the 40-man roster, Tampa Bay put
Rocco Baldelli on the 60-day disabled list.
Haynes hit .267 in 40 games with the Angels in 2007 and played all three outfield positions.
