Ranking the Rays ... Luna, Thompson, Vogt

Apologies for no Rays minor-league roundup on Thursday night. The high school All-State baseball and softball meeting, which started at 9 a.m., ended just past midnight. I posted about the roster move and both games during short breaks.

However, we still rank 'em for what wasn't a good night ...
1. Omar Luna, MGM: 3-for-6, 3 runs, 2 walks, 2 RBIs in DH
2. Jake Thompson, MGM: book-rule quality start (2 earned), 5 hits, 3 walks
3. Stephen Vogt, DUR: 1b, walk
4. Ty Morrison, MGM: 3-for-8, 3 runs, steal in DH
5. Phil Wunderlich, CHA: solo HR
(Bowling Green's game was suspended and will continue today. All of it will count toward Saturday's rankings.)

Today (times Central, p.m.) ...
DUR (Lance Pendleton 1-1 3.18) at Louisville (Pedro Villarreal 2-1, 3.70), 6:05
MGM (Alex Colome 1-1, 6.00) at Mississippi (David Hale 3-2, 4.28), 7
CHA (Albert Suarez 3-2, 4.50) vs. Dunedin (Asher Wojciehowski 2-1, 5.01), 5:30
BWG (Roberto Gomez 3-2, 3.21) vs. Lansing (Jesse Hernandez 4-2, 1.99), game to follow 5:30 continuation
