Vogt, Moore among Southern League All-Stars

Catcher Stephen Vogt and left-handed pitcher Matt Moore were Montgomery's two representatives on the Southern League's end-of-season All-Star team.

Both were promoted to Triple-A Durham in July.

C: Stephen Vogt, Montgomery; 1B: Paul Goldschmidt, Mobile; 2B: Tyler Kuhn, Birmingham; 3B: Ryan Wheeler, Mobile; SS: Tyler Pastornicky, Mississippi.
OF: Denis Phipps, Carolina; A.J. Pollock, Mobile; Alfredo Silverio, Chattanooga; Scott Van Slyke, Chattanooga.
DH: Ernesto Mejia, Mississippi; Utility: Tyler Kuhn, Birmingham; Hustler: Kevin Mattison, Jacksonville.
Right-handed starter: Nate Eovaldi, Chattanooga; Left-handed starter: Matt Moore, Montgomery; Relief pitcher: Rafael Dolis, Tennessee.

And, no, I don't know how Tyler Kuhn makes it as both the second baseman and utility guy. If I had known that was possible, I would have voted Paul Goldschmidt as my designated hitter, too.
