Joe Cruz threw five shutout innings with two hits allowed, one walk and four strikeouts. Reid Fronk scored the go-ahead run in the seventh when Jupiter erred on a potential inning-ending double play. Anthony Scelfo singled, walked and scored.
Stone Crabs 5, Jupiter 1 (Game 2)
Anthony Scelfo had three singled, two RBIs and scored. Jake Jefferies knocked in two runs. Mike Sheridan singled, stole and scored twice. Jake Thompson twirled six innings of three-hit, one-run ball.
Lansing 4, Hot Rods 1
Robby Price and Keith Castillo singled twice. Castillo had an RBI and Price scored, stole and was caught stealing. Left fielder Nick Schwaner threw out runners at third and home.
Renegades 3, Vermont 1
Jeff Malm singled, walked twice and had an RBI. Alejandro Segovia hit a two-run home run in the fourth and grounded into a double play. Andrew Bellatti allowed two hits and a run over six innings. Stayton Thomas worked the final three, giving up two hits.
P-Rays 6, Pulaski 0
Matt Spann and Jeff Ames combined on a four-hitter. Spann went six innings with one walk and six strikeouts. Ames walked none and struck out five. Jake Hager hit three singles. Drew Vettleson singled, walked, stole and scored twice.
GCL Rays 21, Red Sox 2
Johnny Eierman ran for 137 yards and two touchdowns ... Wait a minute, dang football. ... Eierman tripled, walked thrice, had two RBIs and scored four times. Omar Narvaez singled, walked twice, had two RBIs and scored four times. Michael Bourdon totaled four singles, two RBIs and two runs scored. Ismel Antunez singled, doubled, walked, RBI'd and scored thrice.
