Tampa Bay organizational leaders

There were some surprising organizational leaders among Tampa Bay minor leaguers this year.

Kean Wong was the Rays' organizational batting champion, hitting .328 in the GCL and edging Bowling Green's Andrew Toles and his .326.

Dylan Floro was the ERA champion after posting a combined 1.77 in 137 1/3 innings between Bowling Green and Charlotte. He had an 11-2 record.

Some other categories ...
Home runs: Outfielder Kyeong Kang had 16 with five players tied for second at 14. Kang jacked one for the Stone Crabs before posting 15 with the Biscuits.

RBIs: Durham's Leslie Anderson finished with 74, one ahead of Charlotte's Richie Shaffer.

Steals: Toles was the, ahem, runaway winner. His 62 were 22 ahead of Hot Rods teammate (and BCS/RPI champion) Tommy Coyle.

Wins: Durham's J.D. Martin was 16-4, while Matt Buschmann finished 14-5 and Merrill Kelly was 13-10 between the Biscuits and Bulls.

Saves: Durham's Kirby Yates had 20, and Juan Sandoval totaled 19 between the Biscuits and Bulls.

Strikeouts: Buschmann blew away the field with 167, a mere 43 ahead of Durham's Jake Odorizzi.
