Jennings starts for U.S. Futures team

Biscuits center fielder Desmond Jennings is in the starting lineup for the U.S. Team in today's All-Star Futures Game. He's hitting second.

The game is in a rain delay after a half-inning with the World team ahead 2-0.

UPDATE: What's a four-hour rain delay between friends? They've started back and Jennings struck out swinging on four pitches in his first at-bat.
UPDATE 2: In the third, Jennings walked, stole second and third, and scored on a Pedro Alvarez infield single.
UPDATE 3: In the fourth, Jennings gawks as a third strike sails past.

FINAL UPDATE: In the sixth, Jennings reached and went to second on a throwing error before stealing third. He finished 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and three stolen bases.

Tampa Bay's other representative, Bowling Green outfielder K.D. Kang, popped out in the seventh. The World won 7-5 in a game that lasted seven innings because of the long delay.
