Infielder Chris Nowak has been demoted from Triple-A Durham to the Biscuits. Nowak, Montgomery's player of the year last season, was hitting .228 with four home runs and 23 RBIs for the Bulls.
Apparently, he was told tonight after Durham's 3-2 win over Charlotte. Any corresponding Biscuits' move is unknown.
On Thursday, the Bulls released relief pitcher Dewon Day. The Rays claimed Day off waivers last November, though they designated him for assignment in January. He had a 4.76 ERA in 22 appearances. That move allowed Durham to activate Andy Sonnanstine to start Thursday.
