Jackson left-hander Danny Hultzen won his second straight Southern League pitcher of the week award today.
Hultzen totaled 13 2/3 shutout innings, four hits allowed and 14 strikeouts over two wins for the week. Hultzen, who is 5-0 in his last six starts, is 7-3 with a 1.28 ERA this season.
Mobile right fielder Alfredo Marte, with an 11-for-22, eight-run, seven-RBI week, was the top hitter. He also doubled six times and hit a grand slam. Marte, who has a 12-game hitting streak and has scored a run in eight straight games, is hitting .283 with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs.
