Brett Lorin threw three shutout innings and the Mobile BayBears scored four runs in the 13th inning to beat the Biscuits 8-4 on Thursday.
With one out in the 13th, the BayBears loaded the bases with singles by Ender Inciarte and Michael Freeman and a walk to Nick Evans. Jon Griffin's flyout brought in Inciarte before Brent Clevlen hit an RBI double and Garrett Weber a two-run single.
Lorin worked out of trouble in both the 10th and 11th innings.
In the 10th, Cameron Seitzer hit a one-out double and Lorin intentionally walked Todd Glaesmann. Riccio Torrez grounded into an inning-ending double play.
In the 11th, Mayo Acosta hit a leadoff double and went to third on Kevin Kiermaier's sacrifice bunt. After Shawn O'Malley was hit by a pitch, he went to second on Mobile's indifference.
Ty Morrison laid down a bunt directly back to Lorin, which forced Acosta to remain at third while Lorin threw out Morrison at first. Robi Estrada's groundout ended the threat.
