Shawn O'Malley's two-run triple capped a three-run second inning that led the Biscuits to a 3-2 win over the Mobile BayBears on Wednesday.
Right-hander Merrill Kelly, in Montgomery's rotation only because of another player's injury, took a no-hitter into the fourth inning. He gave up two runs on three hits in five innings.
The BayBears failed to get a runner into scoring position against relievers Andrew Bellatti, Marquis Fleming and Juan Sandoval. Bellatti retired all three batters he faced. Sandoval came on with a runner on first and two outs in the eighth before retiring all four batters he faced.
In the second, Cameron Seitzer hit a leadoff double before Todd Glaesmann reached on a bunt single. A Mark Thomas flyout brought home Seitzer. With two outs, Kevin Kiermaier hit an infield single before O'Malley tripled down the right-field line.
