The Biscuits will face a major leaguer Wednesday.
Chicago Cubs pitcher Matt Garza, formerly of the Rays, will make a rehab start for the Tennessee Smokies.
Garza, 29, has been down with a strained back suffered during spring training. The right-hander was 34-33 with a 3.86 ERA from 2008-10 for Tampa Bay and threw the first no-hitter in Rays history July 26, 2010.
Garza went to the Cubs in January 2011 in a trade that sent pitcher Chris Archer, catcher Robinson Chirinos, shortstop Hak-Ju Lee and outfielders Sam Fuld and Brandon Guyer to the Rays. The Cubs also added former Biscuits outfielder Fernando Perez and pitcher Zac Rosscup.
