Biscuits star in Futures Game

Two former Biscuits and one current Biscuit had good days Sunday in the Futures Game in Anaheim, Calif.

Desmond Jennings scored three runs and Jeremy Hellickson was the winning pitcher for the United States in a 9-1 victory over the World team.

Hellickson was the starter and gave up one run on two hits in two innings.

Current Biscuits pitcher Alex Torres worked the third inning for the World. He gave up a hit.

Jennings and Hellickson are currently with Triple-A Durham.

Jennings, who was 0-for-3, was hit by a pitch and scored in the first inning, struck out in the fourth, walked and scored in the sixth and reached on an error and scored in the eighth.
