Collin Cowgill singled home Evan Frey with the go-ahead run in the Mobile BayBears’ 4-3, 12-inning win over the Biscuits in the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader.
Montgomery posted just one hit over the final 5 2/3 innings, a bloop single by Craig Albernaz in the eighth. Mobile’s Daniel Stange threw 2 1/3 no-hit innings for the win.
The Biscuits scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings. Montgomery had four hits, including three infield singles. Henry Wrigley’s swinging bunt brought home Shawn O’Malley with the first run. Rashad Eldridge’s flyout scored Emeel Salem to tie it.
