Princeton's Suero wins Appy honor
Princeton right-hander Eliazer Suero, with his seven shutout innings Friday, won the Appalachian League's pitcher of the week award today. Suero, 21, allowed three hits, walked none and struck out nine. George Jensen followed Suero with two perfect innings. Suero is 1-1 with a 1.78 ERA in five starts.
