Jacksonville’s Matt Dominguez homered twice and was the most valuable player in Monday’s Southern League All-Star Game, though his South Division team lost 3-2 to the North.
Dominguez homered in the fifth and seventh innings. He has 10 homers this year for the Suns.
Biscuits infielder Drew Anderson was 0-for-3 with three strikeouts and outfielder Emeel Salem was 0-for-2. Montgomery pitchers Jeremy Hall and Matt Gorgen did not appear.
Mobile pitcher Josh Collmenter started for the North -- though his team is in the South Division -- and threw two shutout innings for the win. Collmenter switched sides after three North pitchers were unable to throw and left the team short of pitching.
