Wednesday's combined 18 walks -- if you're curious -- was well short of the Southern League record. The Biscuits and Smokies each issued nine free passes in Tennessee's 3-2 win.
That 18 total was a long way from the 26 handed out -- 13 by each team -- on Aug. 6, 1998, in a game between the Huntsville Stars and Greenville Braves.
