Morning reading: Gardner's son graduating

Josh Gardner, the soon-to-graduate high school son of Biscuits manager Billy Gardner, already has received his graduation present. Billy will miss two games to attend Josh's ceremony Friday. (By the way, one of the hardest laughs I've ever witnessed was Josh in the press box one day when his dad was ejected.)

Jeff Davis graduate D.J. Jones sounds eager and willing to quickly sign with the Toronto Blue Jays, who picked him in the 22nd round of the draft Wednesday. Don't forget Tampa Bay's draft list, a breakdown of those picks and the state of Alabama's draft list.

Then there's Montgomery's 3-2 marathon loss to Tennessee that felt almost as long as a boring movie I remember.
