Jeremy Hellickson has left tonight's game after two innings and signs are he potentially may be injured.
Brandon Mann is in after Hellickson allowed one run on two hits. I didn't notice anything from Hellickson when he left the mound, but it was odd when Mann started warming up.
Trainer Lee Slagle was up the tunnel and walked down to the dugout before reporting something to pitching coach Neil Allen and Rays pitching coordinator Dick Bosman. Slagle also called or e-mailed someone from his Blackberry.
The Rays have some big brass here, but they're still in their seats: assistant general manager Gerry Hunsicker, farm director Mitch Lukevics and field coordinator Jim Hoff.
Hellickson is Montgomery's top pitching prospects and has been productive over the first month of the season. The right-hander entered tonight with a 2-1 record and a 1.93 ERA. Hellickson had allowed 18 hits and just one home run in 28 innings with eight walks and 33 strikeouts.
