Hosanna, hosanna, hosanna. I always celebrate the statistical anomaly that we just witnessed at Riverwalk Stadium. Stand up and cheer. We have a team unearned run. Hip, hip, hooray.
Ryan Reid gave up six runs in the sixth inning, but only three were earned because of an error with none out. Neal Frontz came in and served up a home run on his first pitch. The run to Frontz is earned ... to Frontz and not to the Biscuits.
To quote the rule (10:16 (i)): "The relief pitcher shall not have the benefit of previous chances for outs."
